Since it looks like no on else has posted this, IGN has given us a brief description of the characters in Shattered Memories here. ( if you don't want spoilers, don't look! )

They also confirmed that the NA Wii release of the title will be December 8, with the PS2 & PSP versions following. ( source )

Lastly, some new images have been added, including some gorgeous painted pieces. However they do contain new characters, so if you're trying to stay absolutely spoiler free, I'd avoid these.

Hello, all you wonderful people!  I hope this isn't going against the rules or anything; I just think this is a fun event that needs to get the word out.

This Thanksgiving weekend, think about heading over to the Indie Banditas handmade craft bazaar!  There will be around 70 local artists and craftspersons from all around the Northwest.  It is on Bainbridge Island, 10 AM to 5 PM Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th.  There will even be a concert on Saturday!

You want to buy Christmas/Kwanzaa/Hanukkah/Solstice/Festivus gifts for your loved ones, right?  Then why not support local, independent businesses AND give your loved ones one-of-a-kind handmade gifts?  It's win-win!

You can find more information on the website: http://indiebanditas.com/Welcome.html
And a sampling of the vendors who will be there can be found on the blog: http://indiebanditasbazaar.blogspot.com/

Hope to see a least some of you there!

I am moving out of the house -- A new begining -- Part 1 [11 Nov 2009|10:57am]

[ mood | optimistic ]

FREEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!

With the many baby steps I've taken. The love and support through close ones and my love.
I've finally done it. On Friday, November 13th I will be given the keys to my studio apartment. I never thought it was possible. I will still be living in the area of Queens. Just in the next town over from my family's house. So currently right now.. I've been trying to pack things up in boxes. And buying things for the apartment. So far.. I don't have pots and pans and bedding nor bedding.

I will be moving into a studio which is in the next town over. I constantly have to tell myself I can do this.. I can do this.. and not feeling guilty about moving out. My mother so far has have a hard time with it. She would constantly speak her mind about the event while throwing a dash of guilt. She would speak about the mortgage.. the bills... the drama...

The benefit of staying at home.

Yeah there were benefits. Only financial. (But if I told mommy that..she would cry)
I did manage to pay off 25k of my debt.. 86k more to go.
The only benefit was financial. But my goodness.. It felt like I was in jail with privilages.. and it was a life time sentence.

But yet I have to remind her..
"Its like your telling me to stay with an abusive husband just because he makes me financially secure".

"Godfather told you what would happen if I stay home any longer".

"So you think its better for me to stay in a house with sibilings who are physically and verbally abusive"

That made her quiet right away.

She believes young daughters who move out of the house before they get married.. have no-self respect and that people will look down on them.

To be honest.. I don't care what she thinks of me. It is very dissapointing that during the last two weeks I have not heard one word of encouragement *Shrugs*

It has been psychologically taxing.. Its like I'm a walking ball of high and lows.

Even after I got the approval ..... I was full of regret.. anger..and sadness..

Regret.
At the Age of 26.9999999999999999993. I now have the courage to move out. I lived my live for others. and not for myself. There is a difference between having obligations and being co-depenant. I was the latter. I knew what I was going through wasn't normal. I knew... staying at home... was not helping me progress... I became a hermit... (I was told this to my face many many times).

Anger

I prayed to God..to actually send me "worse" lol.. Yep I did.. It was my motivation..to keep me going..Cause honey... I was livid.. Like mental-breakdown livid..

I think I had a bit of a mental-breakdown during early October involving an incident. The stress was so much.. that I literally shut down for a couple of hours. I couldn't function.

Sadness..
This is officially a new step....Sometimes its hard to believe that this is my life. That I am co-dependent. I literally was living in a glass box for years and years on end. So knowing what true freedom feels like. I know I'm going to have dark moments.

I dont know how it happened.. but it just became this way....

So.... I'll keep you guys in tuned...So far I've been doing alot of running around...
Buying stuff..My parents have been helpful..

I'll keep you guys posted.

Young whipper-snappers [11 Nov 2009|12:42am]

kyq
So some days ago, upon my Seminar in Communications Professor's request, I volunteered to help out another Professor by sitting in as part of a panel of graduating seniors to answer questions from Freshmen Comm. students.

That day was today, and so I went to the said class with 2 other classmates of mine. It's really funny how silly youngsters can be sometimes. I know it sounds cliched, but I really do wish I had a panel of this sort back when I was a Freshman, so I wouldn't have had spent over a year wandering aimlessly and taking redundant classes, essentially wasting my time.

Yet, here we were, telling this bunch of kids about our experiences, what to do - and not a soul was really, truly listening to us. Sure, they asked a lot of questions, but they all mostly spanned the same general topic and were very samey. Not to mention, they went really quiet and it ended up with us having to almost ramble on about our job experiences and all. Wasn't until one of my classmates prodded on the topic of overseas programs, did some slightly different questions finally pour in.

Bloody kids. LEARN FROM YOUR ELDERS DANGNABBIT!

*waves cane*

Was also funny that I was the oldest person in that room aside from the Professor herself. Betcha no one ever realised that. Mwahahaha.

I am taking part in a 6 part reenactment of the "first" homogenized milk processing plant in Western North America this evening.

I will playing the part of a Colloid Mill.

I don’t sing but I do read a little poetry.

[UPDATE]
i don't have a flyer for the event BUT agree that having one would be a "shot in the arm"

[UPDATE]
thanks for those of you who attended this evening. here is the flyer we had made up. I am the Colloid Mill on the right NOT the one on the left.

Hello, everybody!
I would like to make a tabletop role-playing game based on Silent Hill setting for my friends. Does anybody have the experience in this? I don't know what system suits better for this. It would be easy to use D20 or World Of Darkness mechanics, but may be there is a way that is better?
I'm sorry if such topic has already been discussed.

Looks like March 2010 is going to be the month for survival horrors. We already have Alan Wake slated for that time, however I was just made aware of another title that looks like it could be a treat for Silent Hill fans.

Music halp!

I have a ringback tone for my phone that is The Map from Silent Hill, but I can't FOR THE LIFE OF ME find an MP3 of it, or find it! Am I just looney?  Keep in mind I have probably 10 Silent Hill albums on my ipod (1, two of 2, 3 of 3, 2 versions of 4, Origins, Homecoming, along with the unreleased ambiance/noise of each soundtrack).  See?  Preview.  Is the title "The Map" or is it a different song?  Because I can't find it. 8|  Like, listen to "Clue from Alessa"... That's "Promise".  "Letter from Lost Days" is actually "Waiting for you (Live at Heaven's Night)".   "Waiting for You" is "Letter from Lost Days".  "Tears Of" is actually correct.  As I mentioned, I have hundreds of Silent Hill songs and it's killing me to go through each one to find "The Map".

Secondly!  I preordered my copy of Shattered Memories yesterday-  my first ever preorder!  Now, I know it includes a CD with 18 tracks 'throughout the series' so I assume it's NOT the OST for Shattered Memories.  Any ideas on an OST release?

Missing SeaTac man found living out of state

The King County sheriff's office says a man who had been reported as missing nearly two years ago has been found alive and well, living in another state.

The Associated Press

SEATTLE —

The King County sheriff's office says a man who had been reported as missing nearly two years ago has been found alive and well, living in another state.

Detectives determined last week Nicholas Francisco had changed his name.

The 28-year-old was supposedly heading home to bake cookies with his children when he dropped out of sight Feb. 13, 2008, after leaving work.

His car was found a few days later, abandoned in Federal Way. An extensive investigation by the sheriff's office turned up no sign of a crime.

His wife filed for divorce in May, citing "willful abandonment."
